SCOPE
- Evaluation of multiple energy storage configurations at study level and analysis of the reliability of supply sources and their availability within the European industry.
- Assessment of COTS/MOTS and novel technologies.
- Hybridisation of complementary storage and enabling technologies
- Assessment of the technical implications and cost impact of ruggedized designs.
- At design level, definition of technical requirements for NOMAD system architecture.
- Validation of 3 system demonstrators integrated in military 20’ containers based on different energy storage technologies.
- Development of a guideline with recommendations for energy storage systems for Defence.
HIGHLIGHTS

DEVELOP
NOMAD’s solutions are developed based on end-users needs for future energy storage systems usable at military deployments in FOBs.

ASSES
NOMAD assesses the current energy storage systems that are developed for civil and/or military use to propose and design the mature technologies and components needed for effective energy storage systems for military use.

COMPONENTS
NOMAD components and systems will be interoperable, reliable and secure.
